Dear SSRL Community,
Nominations are now open for the SSRL Awards, with a unified deadline of July 1, 2025. Please submit your nomination packages via email to SSRL-user-office@SLAC.Stanford.edu.
- William E. and Diane M. Spicer Young Investigator Award – Recognizes outstanding scientific contributions. Nomination packages should include a letter summarizing the candidate’s contributions, their CV, and a list of publications. Supporting letters are encouraged.
- SSRL Scientific Development Award – Supports new investigators conducting research at SSRL. Eligible nominees include undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows within three years of receiving their Ph.D. Nominations should include the candidate’s CV, letters of recommendation, and an abstract summarizing their SSRL-related experiments, results, and plans to present their findings.
- Farrel W. Lytle Award – Honors technical and scientific accomplishments in synchrotron radiation-based science. SSRL users and staff are eligible. Nomination letters should summarize the candidate’s contributions and significance. Supporting letters are welcome.
We encourage you to nominate deserving colleagues, users, and students who have made significant contributions. Your nominations help recognize and support excellence in our community.
