Beam Lines and Development

Beam Line Operations Report 

House helium shut off for duration of summer down.

A lot of scheduled construction/installation activities on and around the experiment floor this summer down.

Experiment floor clean up days are scheduled for 8/19 - 8/21.

Beam Line Systems Report 

Began the process of removing the beamline10-2 M0 mirror from the SPEAR tunnel. Objective is to diagnose the failure and repair. A spool is being installed in the meantime to allow continued beamline commissioning after the summer shutdown.

The beamline 7-3 hutch extension is underway to allow the installation of a robotic sample loader.

Replacement of Booster chambers begins shortly.

Upgrading the beamline 13-0 Spherical Grating Monitor's optical encoders and flexure arms.

Rebuilding beamline 4-1 monochromater for reinstallation this summer.
