Operations Report
Last week, SPEAR was up 93.6%. The FY25 run uptime is 96.7% to date. The MTBF to date is 73.9 hours. The injector uptime to date is 100%.
Accelerator Operations
User run as scheduled. Lost 4 hours of beam time on Sunday 7/6 due to SPEAR thermal couple communication issues. Second downtime planning meeting took place on Thursday 7/10.
Beam Lines and Development
Beam Line Systems Report
The BL4-1 and old BL10-2 monochromators are both being refurbished in the vacuum shop. It is anticipated that the BL4-1 monochromator will be reinstalled this summer.
The BL10-2 M0 mirror will be removed this summer for repair work.
Planning is underway for summer SPEAR downtime activities including booster vacuum chamber and ion pump replacements.
The BL13 PGM grating movers will be upgraded this summer.
The BL7-3 hutch expansion project is on track for execution this summer.
A power outage is scheduled for Building 50 on August 14th, 2025 to test the SLAC power resiliency project systems.
