Just quick reminder to start the scheduling process by viewing and allocating the submitted BTRs through the OPS page (https://userportal.slac.stanford.edu/ops/ssrl/?beamTimeRequests#). To make the process more efficient for entering the schedules in the Portal, we have created a template for submitting your schedules to the user office (see template link).
Action items:
Inform the user office of any FACILITY/characterization, workshops, user training/demos, etc. planned for November 2025 -January 2026 by September 1, 2025
Inform if any BTRs require editing or cannot be accepted by August 25, 2025
Create your beam time schedules using this template link by September 12, 2025
If you want the user office to assist in creating the schedule, send your grouping by August 22, 2025
How to login to the OPS Page and Pull BTRs:
Use this link https://userportal.slac.stanford.edu/ops/ssrl/?beamTimeRequests#and you SLAC Windows credentials to log in
Click on Beam Time Requests

Facilities
SSRL Experimental Floor
Next week there will be experimental floor clean up days Tuesday - Thursday (8/19 - 8/21) in the area across from beamline 9. We will be collecting your unwanted chemicals and samples to be picked up by Waste Management. Waste labels, bags, secondary containers for sorting, etc. will be available. As much as possible, one of us be present to answer questions.
Waste tips:
- Chemicals do not need a waste label if in the original manufacturer's container AND it is still legible
- All other chemicals or samples need a waste label
- Unidentifiable items at a minimum must have the associated beamline, if not also the proposal number
Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you, SSRL Safety Office, ssrl-safety@slac.stanford.edu
