W/B4C
Multilayers
We have recently switched to
W/B4C, which has improved
properties over Mo/B4C.

The broadening of the diffraction peaks from dried
collagen fiber due to the increased energy bandpass is insignificant, assuring
high beam quality with the multilayer monochromator. We typically obtain 20-30 times higher flux with the multilayer monochromator.
