SSRLUO Executive Committee Ballot --
Nominations Due August 18


The SSRL Users' Organization Executive Committee serves in an advisory capacity to communicate users' needs and concerns to SSRL management and the SSRL Science Policy Board. The SSRLUO-EC also provides input to the various funding agencies regarding long-term user needs and concerns.

We are currently soliciting nominations for three general positions and one graduate student position in the following disciplines: environmental/geosciences (1), macromolecular crystallography (1), and structural molecular biology (1). All members serve a two-year term, with the exception of the person elected Chair who serves a three-year term, and are elected by the SSRL user community per discipline and majority vote. All newly elected members begin their term following the Users' Meeting.

All nominations must be received prior to August 18. The election will take place via web prior to the Users' Meeting so that new members may be announced during the conference banquet.
