Hermann Dürr
hdurr@slac.stanford.edu, Senior Research Scientist of SIMES, Adjunct Professor at UvA
An expert in the intriguing field of femtomagnetism, Herrmann came to SLAC in Jan 2010. His research interests include ultrafast charge and spin dynamics in magnetic and strongly correlated electron systems, nanomagnetism, and the interaction of free electron x-ray laser radiation with matter. As such, Hermann leads diverse projects in the group while additionally managing outside collaborations.
In 2011, Hermann was appointed Professor by Special Appointment of Ultrafast X-Ray Science at the Institute of Physics of the University of Amsterdam's Faculty of Science.
