Welcome.
This is the XrayWiki web, a readable/editable resource for users and staff at SSRL. The purpose of this Wiki is to provide Beam Line documentation and serve as a user extensible knowledge base of techniques and resources.
This is a wiki site, powered by PmWiki. It may be edited by anyone, including you, using just a web browser. If you see something missing or wrong, feel free to fix it. If you don’t know what a wiki is, or if you would like to learn about the features of this particular wiki, have a look at the DocumentationIndex. Also, please visit the XrayWiki Plan Page to understand the aims of this site.
Help Build a Great Wiki!
Wikis thrive on collaboration, and the more, the merrier. Anyone who wants to contribute is encouraged to do so. There is a password for editing. Contact Dan Brehmer with any questions. As with other wikis, the quantity and the quality of information should improve as more people participate. Even contributing in a small way like fixing spelling errors can be very helpful in the long run. You do not need to ask first before making changes! You’re not stepping on anyone’s toes, because this wiki belongs to all of us.
Beam Line Pages
The Beam Line pages are intended to be a reference for all Use and Maintenance issues. Experimenters and staff are encouraged to add notes about the beam line when they use it that may be helpful for those who come after them. Any modifications to a beam line can be documented here or engineering notes referenced. Any experimental tips, tricks and techniques would be helpful. If you want to add a subject related to more than one beam line create a separate page and link to it from each related beam line page.

Note Regarding Browsers
There are links in this wiki to documents on the SLAC network. These links will work fine in Internet Explorer but people using Firefox will have to install the extension IEView. Then they will be able to right-click on the link and choose “Open Link Target in IE.”
