BL13-2

    Overview
    SPEAR3

26-pole Elliptical Polarizing Undulator (EPU), 0.25 mrad Acceptance

    Beam line in transition.

The BL13-2 staiton has an APPES (ambient pressure photoemission spectroscopy) station with a differentially pumped electron spectrometer (SES-100, VG-Scienta). The station is designed for photoemission spectroscopy and Auger electron yield x-ray absorption spectroscopy measurements under near ambient conditions (up to 10 Torr). The APPES station provides the capability to investigate thermal catalytic and electrochemical processes under reactive conditions. The sample temperature can be varied from 300 K to 600 K under reactive conditions by a ceramic heater.
