A1 1-4 In fours, partners half-poussette clockwise, (first corners push to begin).
   5-8 Middles with neighbors half-poussette counterclockwise
      (first diagonals push to begin:
      women the first and third times, men the second and fourth), while
      ends lead away and cast onto lines across the hall.

A2 1-4 In fours, opposites half-poussette clockwise
       (men push to begin the first and third times, women the second and fourth).
   5-8 Middles half-poussette counterclockwise
       (women push to begin the first and third times, men the second and fourth), while
       end lead away and cast onto lines up-and-down the hall.
       End crossed over in original positions.

B1 1-8 Ends cross by the right (bottoms with a two-hand turn halfway) and
       twos lead down for a mirror hey-for-four, seven changes. End in the order 2, 1, 4, 3.

B2 1-4 In fours, bottoms lead up for mirror back-to-back.
        Middles fall back past neighbor, ones (in second place) on the outside.
        End in the order 2, 4, 1, 3.
    5-8 Hands-eight, circle left halfway. End in the order 3, 1, 4, 2, bottom four improper.

- The dance begins with four half-poussettes, the first across the set, the others up-and-down the
hall. The first long corners push to begin the first two poussettes.

- This is a four-couple version of "The Zither Man". Notice that the last word of the title has
four letters.

-  The tempo for the original dance is 120 bpm.
