SIDE STEP A: 1: First foot glide (1) and second foot draw to close, taking weight. 2-3: Repeat, repeat. 4: Repeat except that you don't take weight on the second foot. 5-7: Take six slides (or little galops) starting second foot, one per measure (tune makes this pretty clear). 8: Step sideward and hold. 9-16: repeat all that TURNING STEP B: 1-8: Turning two steps ("old galop step") or three turning galops, step, step, reverse turn direction; repeat (eg, 3-slide Esmerelda).
