Longways duple (2/2, Dm) 104 bpm -- Barnes3

A1 1-4     1/2-Pousette, 1st corners push to start.
   5-8     2nd corners (in 1st corner position) RH turn once around.

A2 1-4     1/2-Pousette, 2nd corners push to start.
   5-8     1st corners RH turn once around. All are home again.

B1 1-4     Interlocking gypsies:
           ---------------------------          

   1-2     1st corners cast over left shoulder into neighbor's place while  
           2nd corners left-shoulder gypsy 3/4 into neighbor's place

   3-4     All LS gypsy neighbor 1/2 to original place. All take LH with  
           neighbor and RH with the next neighbor (all in long wavy lines on  
           sides, 1st corners face out, 2nd corners face in)

   5-6     Set.

   7-8     Neighbors LH turn 1/2-way (into progressed places).

B2 1-8     1st corners pass RS to start a hey for 4.


NOTES

A. The movement hewre are all clockwise, and the hand turns are always by those in 
the first corner places.  These universals can be more useful in teaching than the 
specifics noted in the instructions for your preparation.  At the end of each A,
those already backing up can continue to do that so their partners have space
in the center to enjoy a wide, open hand turn.

B. A demonstration can be useful for the interlocking gypsies, which are not as
difficult as they seem.  Timing is tighter throughout B than many dancers anticipate.
A breif caution from you can help them be on time into the wavy line and at the end of
the hey so that second corners are not forced to abandon their last right-shoulder pass 
in the center.

The subtle progression happens at the end of B bar 8.  This is easiest to conceptualize
if you think of the left-hand turn going just halfway.  Dancers experience smoother
flow, however, if they think of it going three-quarters to lead into the hey.

The dance works best in compact sets so the long wavy lines are not stretched out.
