A1 1-2 First man set to second woman.
   3-4 First corners gypsy right once around.
   5-6 Ones gypsy left once around while twos begin a left-shoulder back-to-back.
   7-8 First man cast down one place while second man fall back into first place.

A2 1-2 First woman set to partner (on the second diagonal).
   3-4 Ones gypsy right once around.
   5-6 Tops (second corners) gypsy left once around while
       bottoms (first corners) begin a left-shoulder back-to-back.
   7-8 First woman cast down one place while second woman fall back into first place.

B1 1-2 Partners two-hand turn halfway. Open into a back ring.
   3-4 Balance the ring right and left.
   5-6 Neighbors two-hand turn halfway. Open into a back ring.
   7-8 Balance the ring right and left.
  9-10 Neighbors lead out.
11-12 Neighbors change hands and lead in.
13-14 First corners (on the second diagonal) change by the right.
15-16 Second corners change by the right.

B2 1-16 Partners waltz counterclockwise once around neighbors.

Option: Use the last two measures to form a ring and set. This prepares the first man
to set on the correct foot at the beginning of the next round of the dance.

-  The opening figures represent the revival of English country dance coming to the United States
in 1915 with Cecil Sharp and Maud Karpeles as the first couple and Helen Storrow as second
woman: English country dance, given and received.

- The dance is dedicated to Helen Storrow, supporter of Cecil Sharp's work in Appalachia and
founder of the American Branches of the English Folk Dance Society (now the Country Dance
and Song Society).

- Ed Wilfert prefers the optional B2 part although he admits that Cecil Sharp would probably
disapprove.
