middle and
cast down around W2 to end improper in 2nd place [Twos moving up]
B2	1-8	Those four, circle L & R

Note: A variant has the first couple alternating taking the lead in the chase
from round to round.

B1	1-4	M1, followed by partner, cast down around M2; Ones gypsy by
the R-shoulder 1/2 way so that W1 is now in the lead
5-8	W1, followed by partner, cross up the middle and cast down
around W2 to end improper in 2nd place [Twos moving up]
B2	1-8	Those four, circle L & R
In the second round, B1 would go:

B1	1-4	W1, followed by partner, cast down around M2; Ones gypsy by
the R-shoulder 1/2 way so that M1 is now in the lead
5-8	M1, followed by partner, cross up the middle and cast down
around W2 to end proper in 2nd place [Twos moving up]

Scholarly Pursuits was first danced in public at the Florence Airport on 15
April 2014, as Sharon Green, Michael Siemon, Neil Kelley, Pearl Doctor, Jerry
Becker, and Jean Farrington passed the time while waiting for their respective
flights.
