REUNIONS

Tune - "Reunion Jig", Russ Barenberg c. 1989 as printed in The Portland
Collection, and as recorded by the Rodney Miller Band on Greasy
Coat (Sage Arts, 1990). Played AABB ad desideratum.

Formation -  duple minor / longways, proper,	

A1 1-4:	First man casts [wide] below second man into his corner's  position 
       (second lady waits until M1 is parallel to M2, about two bars) 
        and then turns single L diagonally across the set into his position); 
   5-8: same two turn once around by R hand to end 
        in each others' position.

A2 1-8: As above, W1 casting, M2 turns single R and they turn L.

[All now improper and progressed; face opposite up/down the set]

B1   1-4: Three changes R & L variation:
          Partners take near hand and set to opposites; pull by opposite right
          and face partner.
     5-8: Neighbors take near hand, set to partner, pull by partner L.

B2:  1-4: As B1.
     5-8: Partners turn two-hands once round.  If you open facing up (as in,
          eg, Chorus Jig), M1 can cast off right away.

	(First corners ready to cast up/down to continue.)

Notes:
1. In A, #1's cast is wide, and the #2 person waits until their corner has
reached a point roughly alongside their partner before turning single up (out
of the way!). It should not be a "bump", but a continuous motion for the #1.

Positional text:


A1: First corners change places this unusual way:
    1-2: Top casts below neighbor (who stays still)  then:
    3-4: bottom twirls on the diagonal (in the direction of the other line)
         to tops's place WHILE
         top continues into bottom's place

A2: Second corners the same

B1: Three changes R&L variation (goes on to B2)
    1-2: Face ALONG the set, take near hand with the 
         person next to you, set in place
    3-4: Right hand pull-by with the one you're facing, to 
         change places;
         whoever started the pull-by on first diagonal 
         takes long turn to face ACROSS while the other one
         just faces across.

    5-6: Face ACROSS, near hand with the one next to you, 
         set in place
    7-8: left hand pull by; different people do the long turn

B2: 1-4: As B1
    5-8: Partners two hand turn once round; open facing up.
