NELSON'S WALTZ (Wilson, 1816, "Treasures of Terpsichore", no music) via Susan de Guardiola both versions are 48-bar waltzes. 1. AABBC (A=8b, B=8b, C=16b) 16b 1st & 2nd cu set (twice) and half right & left [SMG: ???? left improper] [APW: I think there's an invisible "that again" here] 8b 1st cu down the middle, up again to 2nd place [progressive] 8b 1st cu allemande (APW:that's half a back to back, half a gypsy) [APW: And do it right shoulder and left shoulder?} 16b swing corners [APW: as in Miss Barrett's Waltz] (That's contra corners, LEFT to corner, RIGHT partner, LEFT corner, RIGHT partner) 2. AABBC (A=8b, B=8b, C=16b) 16b 1st cu swing R hands round 1 cu, then left [progressive] 16b hands six round & back 16b turn corners (same problem of vastly too much music)
