The choreography for the Girton Molly dance that I have is as follows :-

Girton Molly Dance                    		64 bar polkas/hornpipes
3 couple Longways

Start

All Join hands and circle left (once round)
All cast left as couples

Top man swing middle lady (shoulder hold)
Top lady swing middle man (shoulder hold)
Top couple step down the set and back
Top and middle couple swing and change places

The leading couple (original Tops) are now in the middle of the set and will now be called the middle couple.

Middle man swing bottom lady (shoulder hold)
Middle lady swing bottom man (shoulder hold)
Middle couple step down the set and back
Middle couple and bottom couple swing and change places.

Start again

All Join hands and circle left (once round)
All cast left ......


I can't remember when I got this but I have a note with this dance that The
Silvertown (or is is Silverton) Polka works well with this.

It is a brilliant dance and I commend it to you.

There are lots of other good 'uns that are out there that used to be really popular but don't get used much these days e.g. Bradstow Reel; Queensland Backstep; Dorset 4 Hand; Go to the Devil and Shake Yourself. (When I say these days I mean at e-ceilidh events)

I could go on but I won't ... I feel a new thread coming on ... what others do _you_ miss today ???
