I think that's right, although I think I've sometimes seen B2 as a
ladies chain. From Tony Parkes I learned to call A2 with a "cross
trail" sort of action, where couple one goes down the center, crosses
over, and comes up the outside proper, only to reimproperize (sorry)
during the swing.

Yankee Reel is a great dance if you like dances where 1's and 2's have
different roles (as I do). The 1's will love the transition from the
star to their trip down the center.
