NOTES FROM RICHARD

I describe the reel of 3 as a right hand turn with partner, followed by left
hand turn with neighbour - but done without hands!  The fact that the
balance and turns appear in A2 gives people a chance to work out who they
are dancing with, and considerably lessens the risk of people going
wandering around the set.  The figure looks really nice from the stage.

I often use this dance as a starting dance when I am confident in the
ability of the dancers - ie when calling for a dance club etc.  It usually
works quite well as it is simply enough to do, but with enough in it to wake
the brain up.
The new intake at Exeter Uni managed it without problem - and they are
novices.
