Written in 1938, after a hurricane tore up some of the buildings at the (Keene)
fair grounds and they had a series of benefit dances to raise money to repair
them. One day Ralph Page was suprised to read in the paper that "Ralph Page to
introduce original dance called Timber Salvage Reel' tonight"; so he thought he
had better do something. This was it.
