THE PHOENIX Ted Sanella (Balance & Swing) via Barrie Bullimore longways duple improper contra, NO SWING A1: Right hand star (8) [women drop out], Two gents turn by the right, (go)[nearly] once around (4) [to a wave] Balance four in line (across the set) (4) A2: All turn by the left, go once around (4) Balance four in line again (4) Each gent with the left hand lady (neighbor), promenade once around the oppoosite two (8) (passing Lsh) B1: Keep on going, promenade up or down the set (8) [M1 up, M2 down] Turn AS A COUPLE, promenade back to place (8) B2: The same two ladies chain, over & back (16) [or chain to partner and short swing, sez APW] Ted gives several paragraphs of dancing tips and comments. The first men will be promenading the second lady up the set and the others will go down. The promenade back is such the the two ladies will be on the inside ready for the ladies chain across and the men if they wish can "flare"
