I had the pleasure of dancing Me and My Shadows by David Kirchner at Meet Me in
St. Louis a few weeks ago (called by the author, no less). It's a great dance,
but it lacks a neighbor swing. This version allows for one. I swapped the order
of the circle and long lines, moved the long lines to the A2, shortened the
circle to make room for the neighbor swing, and replaced the left diagonal
chain to across the set chain with just a right diagonal chain to set up the
pull by sequence.
