The de  Martelly goes like this: Duple proper.  First lady swing the second man/First man swing second lady/ First couple swing/ Active couples down the center and back to cast off and start again.  This is sort of a variant of Durangs Hornpipe...in fact I called it that at a Ralph Page weekend, using the music Durangs.  My dance has its own music, a jig on G.  Sylvia Miskoe has recorded it with her band, in several keys.  We used it for one of the chunes that we played in concert at the National Heritage Awards ceremony.  The deMartelly's are a family who used to summer in Nelson, NH
They had a great barn where we danced, sometimes only to Newt The Flute's music.  Mike deMartelly has come to live in Nelson year round, and he and his family attend many of the Nelson dances.

Of course my favorite old dance is The Money Musk.

Other good old contras are Hull's Victory, Lamplighter's Hornpipe, Fisher's Hornpipe, New Century Hornpipe, Christmas Hornpipe, French Four, Petronella, Chorus Jig. 

At The Old Phardtz Dance in Nelson every Oct, we only do Lady Walpole's Reel to the chune on Bflat, Morning Star, Hull's Victory, Money Musk, Petronella, and Chorus Jig.  Lots of visiting, eating, drinking.
