(1) â With ladies taking L hands in the center and partners taking R hands on
the side.  The alternative is partner allemande R 1¾ to a wave/4 with the
gents taking L hands in the center.  For these waves, the gents circulate
counterclockwise and ladies clockwise, as in (2).  The two variations can be
alternated, or partners can be given the choice on which wave to form.

(2) â Ladies and gents circulate on separate tracks â ladies counterclockwise
and gents clockwise.  When facing across at the back of the same gender, all
walk forward one spot.  When facing out, ladies make a small loop L and gents
make a big loop R.  This adapts the All 8 Circulate from Mainstream MWSD into a
contra.
