THE BIG SHMOOZE duple improper contra by Bill Olson 7/2000 NOT TOO CROWDED A1: Circle L x 1 (8), W chain ALONG the set* (8) [up and down, courtesy turn with neighbor, finish next to partner] A2: Partner Balance & Swing (16) (face across) B1: Circle L x 1 (8), W chain ACROSS the set (8) B2: Women pass R shoulder to start Hey (16) [7 changes, look for new neighbors to Circle L] BILL SEZ: Notes: In A1 the chain is up and down the hall. Since this is a bit unusual it is best to tell the dancers they chain to their neighbor and end up on side of set with their partners. This figure works best if the sets are not too crowded! This dance grew out of the desire to have the same figure done twice but in different orientations each time. The hey in B2 is seven changes and flows nicely to the circle L. The chain along to Partner B&S works surprisingly well. This dance was written in July,2000, and first called at Bowdoinham Town Hall on July 15. It's dedicated to all those "dancers" that come to the dance but do not!
