BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR
by Steve Pike
improper, double progression

A1: Long lines forward and back
    (next) Neighbor Swing

A2: MEN Allemand Left 1 1/2
    PARTNER Swing

B1: Circle Left 3/4, Pass Through
("wrong way" regression to previous neighbors)
Swing [that previous neighbor], face across

B2: CROSS TRAIL through, then pass through
[pass partner across by right shoulder, immediately face the
one you just swung... and pass them by the left
shoulder... pass the next one (original neighbor) by the right shoulder]

Swing the new one [your next neighbor in line
of progression], end in long lines [the second progession]

NOTES

My favorite 3 swing dances are The Emptied Crack, by
Al Olson, and Gene Hubert's Gang of Four.

Here's a danceable 4(!) swing dance, with enough
non-circular motion to avoid the spins. The title
comes as a response to those who complain about too
few swings.

The B2 dances easier than it teaches; it helps to
prompt the end of that 3rd swing. "... ... ... ...
face across, pass your partner, weave along, left,
then right and swing the third" can work if your
dancers don't know "cross-trail" automatically.
