I believe I was present when the dance below (from Fred's collection) was first attempted. Dillon wrote the dance for the wedding of Sarah Gregory and T. William Smith, which took place in early February of 1978, just two weeks after my own wedding. As I recall there was a fair amount of havoc on the dance floor, but (the occasion being such a joyous one) no one minded. Sarah & Smitty and Laurel & I set out on our respective honeymoons at the same time (we had delayed our departure in order to attend their wedding). No sooner had we left than a record-breaking blizzard arrived, largely closing down the east coast. Must have been staged for our benefit...
