A1: (8) Robins cross-hand turn 1.5 ish, then turn their backs to each other ("spin out" and
    (8) partner swing.

A2: "Figure 8 cutbacks" [ a surfing term ]
    1-2: hands around big oval and slice diagonally left
    3-4: fall back straight
    5-6: slice RIGHT to current neighbors
    7-8: Larks roll robins in front on the way back 

[Probably easier for everyone to get with hands, but if you can trust them, to do it,
richochet on the left diagonal (fall back straight), catch partners hand,
slice right, roll away on the way back.]
