Incredibly simple figures but the beauty is in the stepping. My preference is RR LL RL; alternative is 1 2 3 hop 1,2, It took me about three dances to get the hang of it but it's worth persisting with. The 5/4 was over so quickly I couldn't get any stepping to it, and no one else could think of any either. I contacted Dave Shepherd who said he couldn't think of anything suitable for English Ceilidh dances, so Melissa, who can do anything (including understanding what it is I want musically from my picturesque but woolly descriptions) is going to write something.
