Sorry for delay - work got in the way!

The instructions for Retiring Librarian, written by Geoff Todd for 
Sheila Mainwaring,  are:

Circles of three couples, randomly arranged on dance floor

32 bar reels/jigs

A1  Circle L + R
A2  Ladies star R to # 4 (ie original neighbour)
       LH turn #4 (who becomes new partner)
B1  Balance & swing new partner
B2  Promenade anywhere, in any direction,
       then find another set


There is something that you could perhaps assist me with: I am 
calling at Sidmouth Folkweek, and preparing a workshop on dances from 
the American Midwest. I have the book "Midwest Folklore", which 
contains a lot of dances, mostly contras with very few squares. Could 
you suggest some typical Midwest squares that I could include in my 
programme? They would need to be what Americans regard as advanced in 
order to satisfy English dancers. I expect that Midwest squares are 
very similar, but subtly different, to the original Western Squares 
from the Southern States.
