8 couple longways, couples 1, 2, 3 and 4 (top four) improper

A1 1-8: In four couple sets at top and bottom, led by centre men, 
        men dance around women  (so top four go under and up while
        bottom four go over and down to start.)

A2 1-8: In same four couple sets, women dance around men.

B1 1-8: Bottom four couples face up, top four face down - 
        dip and dive with the couple facing up in the middle arching first. 
        When you reach the end, the leading couple (#4 or #8) arch, the 
        others go through the arch and cast to progressed places.

B2 1-8:  All swing partners, be careful to finish on the correct side 
         (the trick here is at the end of the swing to finish facing the 
         middle of your 8 couple set, you will then automatically have the 
         top four couples improper, the bottom four proper).

NOTE:

The progression is odd; your set of four couples will alternate between the top
and bottom of the large set and you will also progress within your set of four
couples. It's actually easier to just do it than to think about it.
