HEPTATHLON JIG 
7*32-bar jig

7 dancers of any gender, no partners.  
a line of 3 dancers on each side of  the set and the seventh 
in the centre facing up to the band/caller

A1   Centre dancer and top two to his/her right star right; 
     centre dancer and top two on left star left

A2   Centre dancer and bottom two on right, star right, 
     centre dancer and bottom two on left, star left 

B1   Centre dancer and the centre dancers of each side line, 
     hey/reel for three (say, right shoulder, coming out of the star)

B2   Centre dancer and top right dancer allemande right once and a half to 
     change places;

     All balance right & left and the side dancers move one place to their 
     left crossing at the top & bottom as necessary while 
     the new centre dancer balances again.

It flows wonderfully well!

I believe it is a Scottish dance written by Alan White of the Wimbledon 
Scottish Dance Club.  It must be interesting for Scottish dance bands as they
have  probably never played times seven!

I've found it also works well at ONS's if you make B1 the centre dancer 
dancing a figure of eight round the centre people in the line.
