Hello, I'm new to this forum. I'm the caller for Bloatertown Band, based in North Devon. I made up this dance some time ago and would like to share it. If anybody tries it out,I'd be interested to know how it went. John Blackburn ATLANTIC ROLLERS Square Set 32 bar polkas A1 Head couples separate, cast round and in between nearest sde couple. RH star in the middle A2 LH turn corner (twice round if quick). back to back with partner B1 head couples turn to face RH couple, who face them. Dip & dive all around the set. (Sides make first arch)/ B2 When all back to place. All fwd & back. All move on a place, sides arching. Swing if time. (2 way progression) NB It's important that couples face the same direction each time they do the dip & dive. It's also less confusing if the same couples make the first arch each time, but not compulsory! I've always donE it to polkas, but might be worth trying jigs. Problems with ECeilidh?
