BILLY'S WALTZ Peggy Roe 32-bar moderate tempo waltz I use my own dance, Billy's Waltz, for teaching the Hey for 4. It's a relatively easy dance because I assume that if I need to teach they hey then I've got some less-experienced dancers on the floor. It works for any moderate 32-bar waltz. Billy's Waltz 4-couple set, 1s and 3s improper A (1 - 8) All 8 circle left, the right back to place (9 - 12) Middle 4 star left WHILE end couples left-hand turn (13 - 16) In groups of 4 (i.e. top 4 and bottom 4) star right, finish facing neighbour B (1 - 8) Pass this neighbour by the right shoulder to begin parallel heys for 4 along the set (9 - 12) 1s lead to the bottom and turn single down and away WHILE others wait 2 bars then side-step up (13 - 16) With partner, set then change by the right shoulder to finish facing, in new positions.
