A1 1-4 First corners set and turn single.
   5-8 First corners two-hand turn once around.
A2 1-4 Second corners set and turn single.
   5-8 Second corners two-hand turn once around.

B1 1-4 Partners take right hands, balance, and box-the-gnat.
   5-8 Star right leisurely three-quarters.
       End with the ones on the men's side and the twos on the women's side.

B2 1-2 Join hands in a ring. Balance in and out.
   3-4 Petronella twirl (turn single right while moving one place to the right).
   5-8 Star left once around.

NOTES

The first Atossa danced with May Gadd in the 1920s in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Her daughter Atossa French danced in New York in the 1940s and at Pinewoods in
the 1950s. The third is Atossa \Toppy" Kramer who taught music in one-room
schools in rural Kentucky and for about thirty years in the Music Department at
Berea College. βΆ Toppy's brother, Christopher \Kit" French, commissioned this
dance to honor the three generations of Atossas. βΆ Loren Kramer introduced
Arlene Kindel to dancing when he was her sixth grade student teacher. βΆ Mike
Clark knew Toppy at Oberlin College when he was a first-year student and she
was a senior. βΆ Larry and Jane Dickie used to dance in Kalamazoo.
