Untitled so far. July 2018, revised September 2019, revised Jan 2024 Longways duple minor 1-4: CW half DRAW poussette 5-8: asymmetric gates (follow momentum 1-4: Circle left 1x 5-8: symmetric gates (1s through the middle first) into 1-8: double figure eight (2s, above, go down and out; 1s cross up) //1-4: 1s additional half-figure eight, finishing proper and progressed // while 2s, coming out of the double figure, turn to face partner // and do a mirror-image mad robin sliding down the outside and up the // middle. 1-4: All continue and do half a figure eight more (all now proper) 5-8: partners two-hand-turn to own side, keep hold of hands. Note: On the gates, whoever's falling back has to REALLY fall back both to make the gate satisfying and to keep the people going forward from running into each other. Dance takes up a fair amount of space. Worked nicely with "Farmer's Joy", less satisfying with "Split Rock". In 2024, worked nicely with "Ore Boggy". With Farmer's Joy, a crossed-hand turn felt good at 5-8 and made it possible to zip round twice. If you then keep the crossed hands for the poussette, the second diagonals will have to figure out how to get into the gate, where a two-hand-turn and regular poussette is smooth for everybody. It's fun to skip on the figure 8.
