Program Description:
The LCLS Optics and Metrology Laboratory has been in operation for over a year now. The laboratory has been undergoing constant development while serving the needs to understand the extreme design of optical components for LCLS II in particular. The laboratory is also serving the needs for metrology studies of SLAC in general. I would like to give an introduction of the current and future capabilities of the laboratory. This is followed by a brief overview on a selection of past and ongoing projects at the laboratory, such as the LCLS HOMS and KB mirrors as well as the SSRL KB mirrors for BL 15. I will also present a new stitching method that is developed in-house, which is an essential tool for characterizing long, grazing incidence optics for specification qualification as well as under simulated operation conditions.
