Program Description

We introduce IMRA’s new generation of Er fiber frequency combs. Er fiber combs have allowed frequency ratio measurements with an instability < 10-17  in 1 sec and the generation of ultra-low noise microwaves. IMRA’s new generation of digital electronics potentially allows the realization of these advanced applications in a very small form factor. Frequency combs can also have a large impact in microwave photonics. We will discuss the application of electro-optic combs in microwave phase noise analysis, for the reduction of phase noise of tunable OEOs and for microwave signal analysis.
