Program Description
Sometimes an understanding one imaging modality leads to understanding aspects of a totally different imaging modality. I give two examples.
Understanding the light field or plenoptic camera suggests a way to understand holography using the Wigner distribution as a tool.
Second, understanding of certain aspects of Fourier holography suggests a way to understand corresponding aspects of spectral coherence tomography. The three different imaging modalities are introduced and the interrelations are explored.
