FERMI @ Elettra, the Italian seeded Free Electron Laser user facility, is in an advanced commissioning phase. Having already delivered radiation to the endstations, it will be open to user experiments from December 2012.

The commissioning experience gathered so far, as well as the most recent results both from the photon diagnostic section and the photon beam transport are presented. Performances in terms of pulse energy, bandwidth and wavelength stability, transverse coherence, tunability, etc. will be reported and discussed. The results of the first test experiments on the three endstations will be detailed, together with the most recent results from the machine progress.
