The International XAFS Society (IXS) is the official body that coordinates this series of international conferences. Membership is open to anyone working in the field, including students, upon their formal application.
The Commission on XAFS of the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) was established in 1996, and acts to promote XAFS and the scientific interaction with other fields within its activities.
The XAFS13 conference is hosted by Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory, which is a Division of the Photon Science Directorate, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center,
at Stanford University.
