The NSLS-II injector consists of a 200 MeV linac followed by a 3-GeV booster. In the talk I will discuss general requirements on the injector in the initial fill and top-off modes of operation and current status of the its design. Results of the injection simulations with a realistic storage ring model will be presented. I will also discuss preliminary results on modelling realistic insertion devices and particle tracking with presence of IDs in the NSLS-II ring.
