Beamline Computing Notices

• Please Note: SSH to the OpenVMS data acquisition beamline computers is no longer available as of Jan 31, 2006. One may use SSH to connect to SSRL main computer and then connect to the beamlines via set host or telnet. The other option is to connect to smb2000 or smb2002 and then connect to the beamlines.
  
• Please Note: Telnet is blocked at SLAC firewall as of Dec 3, 2001.
• FTP access to the beamline computers is not available. Users may FTP out to their home institute.
• SSRLNT1 and SSRLNT4 are no longer the print servers, if you have chosen a printer from these servers, delete them and choose a printer from SSRLPRINT1 for NT systems OR SSRLPRINT2 for XP systems.
